About this site

Welcome to the site! As you probably know, storm chasing is not only possible in the United States but also in Europe. Sure we don't get as many severe storms as in the Tornado valley, but the storms are very much alive in Europe too. Storm chasing is not a popular hobby here and very few people know anything at all about convective weather. Me and my team are trying to forecast and document storms as best as possible. On this site you will find chase reports from previous chases and severe weather setup forecasts and discussions for central Europe, mostly Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Austria, Hungary, ...

Keep in mind that storm chasing is dangerous and should only be attempted by a person that has an in-depth knowledge about weather.

I invite you to explore the site and leave comments (for setups, chases, ... it should be a discussion!), any feedback is welcome. I hope you like the site! See you under the meso!

About me

I'm an avid storm chaser from Novo Mesto, Slovenia. I've been storm chasing from 2008, but have been a casual weather observer since I was a little boy. I chase mostly in Slovenia and Italy, but on a good day I will cover most of central Europe. I like chasing in Italy, FVG region. In Slovenia it's usually pretty bad with all the hills and bad road connections. I try to get better at forecasting and commit a good chunk of my time to it. I personally believe that a good forecast is half of a storm chase.
